In a press release from earlier today, Hyundai announced that the award-winning 2016 Tucson was recently named to AAA's list of Top Vehicle Picks for 2016, earning the top spot in the small SUV category.
“The 2016 Tucson represents a massive step forward for Hyundai in the small SUV category,” said Jim Prueter, automotive journalist, AAA. “The car’s design is guaranteed to turn heads, and with a massive selection of standard equipment, the vehicle delivers excellent value to customers.”
To be eligible for consideration for the list, which is announced in the January/February issue of Highroads magazine, Top Picks must be available for sale no later than January 2016, and have a maximum base price of $70,000.
Redesigned for the 2016 model year, Tucson features many available advanced safety features, including Lane Departure Warning system, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, which helped it earn a Top Safety Pick+ designation from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHs).
