In case you missed it, last month, Hyundai Motor America issued a press release announcing that the 2017 Elantra was recognized for its outstanding and unique design, earning the prestigious 2016 International Design Excellence (IDEA®) Bronze in the 2016 Automotive & Transportation Compact Car Category.
The Elantra was one of more than 1,700 design projects from across the globe that competed in IDEA 2016. One of the premier international design competitions, IDEA aims to recognize and promote design excellence in a variety of industries. Judging is based on predetermined criteria of Design Excellence, including Design Innovation, Benefit to the User, Benefit to the Client, Benefit to Society and Appropriate Aesthetics.
“This top honor for the 2017 Elantra shows that Hyundai is committed to creating bold and extraordinary designs,” said Peter Schreyer, President and Chief Design Officer of Hyundai Motor Group. “This award for the 2017 Elantra makes us proud and is a great recognition for our design leadership.”
